  • Yes. M H Electrical & Solar Installations LTD is MCS, NAPIT, RECC and OZEV approved, and fully insured. This means all our solar, battery storage, EV charging and electrical work is carried out to recognised industry standards and building regulations.

  • Yes – we install and maintain systems for domestic properties, commercial buildings, industrial units, farms, retail sites and more. From a single home EV charger to a large commercial solar and battery system, we can scale our service to suit.

Solar PV Systems & Inverters

  • The government has announced the Warm Homes Plan (20 January 2026), including government-backed low/zero-interest loans for solar PV (with loans also intended for batteries), plus targeted support for eligible low-income households that could cover the full cost of measures like solar + battery.
    We’ll keep our guidance updated as application routes and eligibility rules are published.

  • We design and install bespoke solar PV systems using high-quality components from leading manufacturers. For inverters and optimised systems we commonly install brands such as Tesla Powerwall, SolarEdge, SolaX, Huawei and Anker Solix X1, chosen to match your roof, budget and performance goals.

  • Optimised systems like SolarEdge use power optimisers on each panel. This helps reduce the impact of shading, improves monitoring down to panel level and can increase energy yield compared to a standard string inverter, especially on more complex or partially shaded roofs.

  • Yes. If your existing inverter is nearing the end of its life, under-sized or not performing well, we can replace it with a modern unit from brands such as SolarEdge, SolaX, Huawei or Anker Solix X1 and integrate it with new monitoring if required.

  • Most roof-mounted systems require scaffolding for safe access. We organise the scaffolding as part of our turnkey service and include it within your quotation, so there are no surprise extras.

Battery Storage,

Tesla Powerwall 3 & Sigenergy

  • We supply and install a range of battery storage systems including Tesla Powerwall 3, Sigenergy, SolaX, Huawei and Anker Solix X1. This allows us to match the battery to your energy usage, budget and whether you want backup power.

  • Tesla Powerwall 3 is a high-capacity battery system with an integrated inverter. It offers excellent reliability, app-based monitoring, time-of-use tariff optimisation and optional backup capability, making it ideal for both new and existing solar systems.

  • Sigenergy provides flexible, modular battery storage that can be easily scaled and combined with hybrid inverters. They’re well suited to homes and businesses wanting a high-performance system with strong backup options and future expandability.

  • Yes, in many cases we can retrofit a battery to an existing solar array. We’ll check your inverter type, system size and usage profile, then recommend a compatible solution such as Tesla Powerwall 3, Sigenergy or another hybrid/battery system.

  • Some systems can provide backup power, while others are designed only for energy shifting. If you want backup capability, we’ll design your system accordingly, configure which circuits are backed up and explain exactly what will run during a power cut.

EV Chargers

  • We install a wide range of EV charge points, including Tesla Wall Connector, Zappi, Easee One, Anderson, CTEK, ICS, PodPoint, Ohme and others. This lets us specify the right charger for your vehicle, property and smart tariff.

  • Yes. With compatible chargers such as Zappi and certain other models, we can configure the system to prioritise surplus solar energy for charging your vehicle, helping you maximise the use of your own generated power.

  • Absolutely. We design and install EV charging for workplaces, depots, car parks and public locations, including back-office management, load balancing and ongoing maintenance as required.

  • We offer full domestic and commercial electrical services including rewires, consumer unit upgrades, 3-phase installations, LED lighting, additional sockets and circuits, fault finding, CCTV, fire alarms and more.

  • Yes. We provide EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Reports), periodic inspections, and remedial works to help homes, landlords and businesses stay compliant and safe.

  • We design and install LED lighting schemes for homes, offices, warehouses and industrial spaces, including high-bay LED fittings and smart controls. We can also provide an estimated energy-savings calculation for your upgrade.

Domestic & Commercial Electrical Services

  • Yes, for commercial solar and battery storage projects we can introduce finance options via our partners (subject to status and approval). This can allow your business to spread the cost while benefiting from energy savings straight away.

  • A typical domestic solar and battery system takes around one to three days to install. Single EV chargers or smaller electrical jobs can often be completed in less than a day. Larger commercial projects will depend on size and complexity – we’ll always agree a programme of works in advance.

Air conditioning

  • The cost depends on the size of the property, the number of rooms being cooled and the type of system required. We offer free site surveys and quotations, allowing us to recommend the most suitable and cost-effective solution for your home or business.

  • Yes. Modern air conditioning systems are highly efficient heat pumps that provide both heating during winter and cooling during summer. Many systems deliver more than four units of heat for every unit of electricity consumed, making them an economical alternative to traditional electric heating.

  • Modern inverter air conditioning systems are designed to be exceptionally energy efficient. Running costs depend on the size of the system, your property and how frequently it is used, but many homeowners find them surprisingly economical, particularly when used for heating during cooler months. If your property already has solar panels and battery storage, or you're considering installing them, your air conditioning can often be powered using your own renewable energy. When combined with a correctly sized solar PV and battery system, running costs can be dramatically reduced and, during many periods of the year, approach net-zero electricity costs.

  • Most domestic air conditioning installations do not require planning permission. However, restrictions may apply to listed buildings, flats or properties within conservation areas. We'll advise you during your survey if any permissions may be required.

  • Most single-room domestic installations can be completed in a single day. Larger residential or commercial installations may take longer depending on the complexity of the project.

  • systems with heavier usage may require more frequent maintenance to maintain efficiency, reliability and warranty compliance.

  • Yes. Multi-split air conditioning systems allow several indoor units to be connected to a single outdoor unit, making them an excellent option for larger homes and offices.
